November is here, and an hour ago we just got news of the release of Redsn0w 0.9.6. Even though you can already jailbreak 4.1 and 3.2.2(iPad) using our Greenpois0n guide, and our Limera1n guide, you still can't jailbreak the iPhone 3G using those tools. Well this morning the Dev Team has released their latest version of Redsn0w which takes care of the problem. This version of Redsn0w 0.9.6B2 supports the iPad, iPhone 3G/3GS/4 & iPod Touch 2G/3G & 4G.

This version also supports changing logos on the old devices. Check out our guide below on how to jailbreak using Redsn0w, the whole process takes less then 10 minutes, if you have any questions, fire them off below, and we'll get you through it.

First you will need to download the firmware and Redsn0w you can use the links below.

Download 4.1 for iPhone 3G/3GS/4

Download 4.1 for iPod 2G/3G/4G

Download 3.2.2 for iPad

Download Redsn0w 0.9.6B2 for OSX

Download Redsn0w 0.9.6B2 for Windows

1. Click browse and select your according firmware.

2. We're selecting the iPhone 4 4.1 firmware since that's what we are using during this guide. 

3. Wait till you see IPSW successfully identified, like you see below.

4. Click the Cydia checkbox.

5. Plug in your device and turn it off. Then click next and follow instructions on putting the phone into DFU mode.

6. When you put the device into DFU mode you will see redsn0w start the jailbreak process. 

Wait till your device reboots, you should now see Cydia on your springboard. Enjoy
